Talent Youth Center

The Talent Youth Center, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2007, dedicated to closing the college and career readiness gap nationwide for K-12 students from underserved areas.

According to Scholastic, a leader in children’s literature, 40% of high school dropouts recognized their likelihood of dropping out as early as 5th grade, citing a lack of relevance between classroom learning and real-life applications.

At the Talent Youth Center (TYC), our team consists of former educators who deeply understand the importance of exposing students to career pathways at an early age. We aim to bridge the gap between education and career opportunities by integrating innovative tools, such as college virtual reality headsets, into our programs. These headsets provide immersive experiences that allow students to explore various career options and see the real-world applications of their education.

How To Help

There are two ways you can join the TYC team – we’re always looking for individuals who believe in the work we do and in the communities we serve. The first opportunity is monetary. The TYC is a 501c3 non-profit organization, so every donation given is tax deductible.

The second way to get involved is by volunteering your time. We’re always looking for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy sending emails, making phone calls, assisting with organizing events and helping to elevate our visibility to communities across the United States.
